How the two-screen setup works
The host opens Draw Party on the largest available screen and creates a room. A QR code appears for players to scan. Each person joins with a nickname, and their phone connects to the room without an account.
The shared Game Screen shows the live drawing, timer, scores and results. The current drawer’s phone shows private word choices and touch-friendly drawing tools, so secret words stay away from the guessing players.
Why phones make good controllers
- Most groups already have everything needed.
- Players draw naturally with a finger.
- Private choices remain on the drawer’s screen.
- No controllers need to be paired or passed around.
- Late arrivals can join from the room screen.
Use a TV, laptop or tablet as the Game Screen
A TV is great for a living room, while a laptop or large tablet works well around a table. Draw Party does not require casting or a smart-TV app—the shared device only needs a modern browser and internet access.
